  • Brake Switch Signal Wire For Trailer Brake Controller On a 1996 Dodge Ram 3500 Pickup
  • It does appear that the white wire with tan tracer is the correct wire to connect the red wire from a Tekonsha Voyager Trailer Brake Controller # 39510 on your 1996 Dodge Ram 3500. Be sure to verify this is correct with a Test Light # PTW2993 as the wiring may have been altered on your Ram.

  • How to Use a MaxxAir Fan With a Yetti 500 and Bluetti E3ba
  • I am not completely sure what parts the Bluetti uses because it is not a product that we carry. But since both use the 12v outlet port, I would rewire the fan to use the male end of the Accessory Plug and Socket Kit # PE53QV. Since both of your power stations use a 12v cigarette outlet port, this would be the easiest route.

  • Is it Safe to Use a Sidewinder Replacement Pin Box
  • No, there are no real draw backs to using a Sidewinder. It will not solve all short bed clearance issues. This will depend on the truck and the width of the trailer. On 6 foot or 6-1/2 foot beds, you do not have to use a Sidewinder. A Sliding Fifth Wheel hitch is sufficient. Some still prefer to use the Sidewinder as it does not require you to un-lock and lock the fifth wheel as you do with a Slider. If you write back with the truck you have and the bed length, I can provide more assistance....

  • Do You Know the Difference Between a 11033 Hub and My 11033L Hub?
  • While we cannot confirm for sure what the "L" means on the 11033L, the "L" does not make a differences when coming to fitment of the hub. With that being said, the Tie Down Engineering 11033 hub has a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern and is designed for 3500-lb axles. Replacement hubs that have these specs typically use a # L68149 inner bearing and # L44649 outer bearing, as well as inner race # L68111, outer race # L44610 and grease seals with inner diameter of 1.719" and outer diameter of 2.565". You'll...

  • Gen-Y Torsion Weight Distribution Shank w/ 6-1/2 Inch Rise/Drop For 10,000 lb Trailer
  • We do have the correct Gen-Y Torsion shank for your trailer with a GVWR of just about 10,000 lbs, though the Gen-Y Torsion Weight Distribution Shank # GY54FR you mentioned is for loaded tongue weights between 450 lbs and 1,100 lbs, which you are very likely to exceed (I do assume the 850 lbs is the dry tongue weight). Because loaded tongue weight is generally in the 12 to 13 percent range of your GVWR, it's more likely your tongue weight will be in the 1,200 to 1,300 lb range, and for...

  • Will Powered Taillight Converter Harness Draw Power When Vehicle is Shut Off
  • Although the Curt trailer wiring harness which we sell as # C56190KIT is connected directly to the battery to provide a reliable secure power connection for the trailer taillights, it won't pull any power from the battery unless the taillights are actually on. If it would make you feel better, you could install a battery isolation solenoid like part # PK5231201 inline on the circuit ran to the battery so the feed shuts down when the ignition is off, but it's honestly not necessary. The...

  • Are Timbren Suspension Enhancement Springs a Good Option for 2019 Ford F-150
  • The Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System # TFR1504E you referenced are more than a good option for your 2019 Ford F-150, they are a great option because they improve your truck's handling and performance overall, while also offering your suspension the support it needs while you tow. These fit your 2019 F-150 whether it is a 2WD or 4WD, and how they work is pretty simple but highly effective. When you tow or you have a load that causes the rear end to sag a bit, the rear of your...

  • How to Determine Correct Bearings and Seals for Pop-Up Camper
  • I can help you determine how to find the correct bearings and seals you need for your 1988 Coleman Columbia pop-up camper although there is no database which has all of the individual parts for each year, make and model of trailer. So, what you need to do is take apart your hub assembly and look at the bearings themselves; wipe away the grease and you should be able to see the part number stamped directly on them. If you are unable to find them, you need to use a digital caliper and measure...

  • How to Extend Trailer Tongue By 36 Inches
  • We have a folding trailer tongue hinge that could work for the purpose you describe, as long as your trailer frame isn't constructed of aluminum. You could use the Fulton Fold Away Coupler Hinge, part # FHDPW330300. The hinge kit is designed for 3 x 3 trailer tongues, so you'd need to use some steel plate to shim the width/height difference. You'd need to obtain a 36 inch length of 2.5 x 2.5 tubing to complete your extension. I've linked to a product description video featuring the hinge...

  • How Bright is the Light on the MaxxFan Dome Plus Roof Vent
  • I checked with MaxxAir but they do not provide a lumens rating for the MaxxFan Dome Plus Roof Vent part # MA00-03810B. It's designed to be more of a nightlight but as we have heard back from a few customers, it's a bit brighter than that. If you check out the attached video on the same model, you can see how bright the light is in a dark room at around the 3:00 mark which should help you better gauge brightness.

  • Replacement For Furrion Observation System With no Replacement Monitor
  • So both the FOS48TAPK and FRC12TA have been discontinued, and were replaced with Furrion's Vision S camera system. The new monitors are unfortunately not compatible with the older camera systems, so there are no replacement monitors you can use. The best I can offer is a new system, the Furrion Vision S Wireless RV Backup Camera System # FOS43TASF. I understand that's not what you wanted to hear, but I did want to at least give you the option of a new system.

  • Is Plastic Lock Knob on Thule Force XT XL Flimsy
  • Let's start with the locks, and the locking mechanism isn't flimsy, and keys are definitely not more likely to break in the Thule Force XT XL Rooftop Cargo Box # TH6358B. As for the Yakima box, the mounting procedure will essentially be the same as with the Force XT XL # TH6358B (with the exception of the Force not using the tool to tighten the clamps). Assuming you have some height with the use of something like a step stool # TE97FR, you won't have to go to both sides to tighten the...

  • Why Is There Only One Hitch Pin Hole on Draw-Tite Front Hitch for 2011 Jeep Wrangler
  • There was a design change of all Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receivers which includes the Draw-Tite Front Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 65069 for a 2011 Jeep Wrangler to get rid of the extra pin hole on the receiver tube used for a stabilizing pin. The new hithes all come with just one standard 5/8" diameter hitch pin hole. Therefore, it sounds like you just have the newest model available and there are no issues.

  • Does the Warranty of the NOCO AC Port Plug Cover the Ground Pin Breaking Off
  • I have not personally heard of that being an issue with the NOCO AC Port Plug # 329-GCP1. But, I did reach out to the manufacturer about if it would be covered. They said that as long as this happened within the 1-year warranty period, we would be able to cover it under warranty.

  • How Does The Lippert Replacement Nason Hydraulic High Pressure Switch Wire Into The System
  • The Lippert Replacement Nason Hydraulic High Pressure Switch with All Weather Connector # LC142927 has a plug-in style connector and wouldn't connect to a bare wire. If the connector was cut off the wiring and that's why you have bare wire then you would need to reach out to Lippert and get a new connector and determine which wire would go to what in the connector to install this sensor.

  • Can You Back Up With A Flat Towed Vehicle Still Connected To The Motorhome
  • The Demco Commander II Non-Binding Tow Bar # DM9511012-BX is designed to work with Blue Ox baseplates, but can also be used with Demco Classic and Tabless base plates. I recommend verifying exactly what you have before purchasing a new tow bar. If you want to send in a few pictures I can try to determine what you have. As for your actual question, you can NEVER back up with a tow bar. Doing so will crumple the arms of the tow bar and you'll be looking at costly repairs. Tow bars are only...
